Thank you to everyone who donated books for Altrussa's book drive. Dr. Kay Johnson came in today and was very excited to see all the books the students brought in. Way to go, Webster!

SPIRIT Day and Halloween

This Friday will be SPIRIT day. Remember to wear your colors--orange and black or green and white. Also, we will be having a small classroom celebration on Friday for Halloween...even though Halloween is on Monday.

The Halloween Carnival is this Saturday from 12:00-2:00.

Today, Mrs. Rice visited us, and the students all made a bead necklace in class and learned some new words. The class did a great job stringing their necklaces!!

Seed Collecting Projects

The students did an amazing job on their seed collecting projects! I was very impressed by all the different ideas they had!!! I will be sending them home next week after I get a chance to take a picture of each student with their project.

Altrussa Book Drive

Our class is competing against Mrs. Orzel's class to collect books for Altrussa. We will be collecting books through Thursday, October 27th. If you have any books that you are willing to donate, please send them to school with your child. The books will then be distrubuted throughout the community for others to enjoy!

Don't forget your Seed Collecting activity is due on Friday, October 21st for Mrs. Orzel's Science class.

Book orders for October should be returned by the 19th.

Study for your Science quiz on plant parts and functions.

Hooray, hooray....we are done with MEAP testing!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have not already done so, please sign and return your child's progress report. It was sent home last Thursday.

We will be MEAP testing tomorrow.

MEAP Continues

Next week, we will be MEAP testing on Tuesday the 18th.

No School on Friday, October 14th

Just a reminder, there will be no school on Friday, October 14th due to Teacher In-Service.

MEAP testing begins tomorrow.  Get lots of rest and eat a good breakfast.

Things to Know

Mr. Z's orders are due on Tuesday, October 11th.

We will begin MEAP testing next week. The state requires that we test on specific dates. The third graders will be starting with a Reading Test on Tuesday, October 11th and Wednesday, October 12th. Please encourage your child to be well-rested and eat a good breakfast. It really helps with their focus.

Today we had a really cool assembly...ask your child if they enjoyed it! I did!
